Ali LeMaitre
Dip.CBH, GHR, GHSC(Accredited), CNHC(Reg), CHMP
Ali has worked in the health and wellness field for over 30 years. She is an Integrative Health Practitioner, drawing on her many years of experience. With a background that combines Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), hypnotherapy, trauma informed psychotherapeutic approaches, breath work, mindfulness and meditation training and all aspects of foundational health. She is an experienced health optimisation coach, a certified Bulletproof and Human Potential Coach. Her approach to health and wellness taps into the body’s intrinsic ability to balance and heal itself.
Ali is also a trauma informed, certified clinical HeartMath practitioner. She uses her knowledge of the autonomic nervous system together with replenishing nutrient deficiencies, vagal nerve stimulation tVNS, somatic experiencing and heart coherence HRV. She teaches specific breathing exercises to alleviate chronic stress, improve brain function and reset the nervous system – to return to the parasympathetic state and homeostasis.
She has long had a special interest in the emerging science of the gut-brain axis, optimising the health of the brain with specialised protocols to help the gut heal and the microbiome thrive, thus helping the Gut-Brain Axis.
She has taught mindfulness, meditation, stress reduction and self-hypnosis to medical, dental and UK NHS staff alike, as well as lecturing in combined approaches to health and wellbeing.
Ali is the founder of Zest Retreats (with Associate Professor of Psychiatry Dr B Paszthy, MD), bringing together doctors and other like-minded health professionals. She has run wellbeing workshops and sees both national and international clients via her online private practice in the Cotswolds UK.
Sofi Teleky
BCHN, FNTP
Sofi is a Board Certified Holistic Nutritionist, a certified Functional Nutrition Therapy Practitioner and a certified Bulletproof and Human Potential Coach.
Honouring ancestral wisdom, she takes a functional approach to health and wellness. She focuses on the importance of a nutrient-dense diet paired with a well balanced lifestyle and proper supplementation – whilst respecting the body’s innate ability to heal. Sofi covers the basic chemistry concepts, the science of food and its nutritional components and the scientific principles about how the body functions, anatomically and physiologically.
Before studying nutrition Sofi Teleky worked in the corporate and financial sector. Diagnosed as Celiac at an early age she was always focused on a healthy diet but became increasingly interested in health, wellbeing and longevity around the time of her first pregnancy. She has a private clinic in Lisbon, Portugal – and gives regular talks on all aspects of nutrition and lifestyle to women’s groups and local businesses.
Dr Felix Bonke
Medical Advisor | M.D, PHD
Felix has received extensive training in a broad range of medical disciplines including internal medicine gastroenterology, cardiology, oncology and ICU/emergency medicine from the Technical University Munich.
With a PhD. in neuroscience, he is now a much sought after Internist and Family Doctor at his private practice in Southern Germany. He has an ongoing interest in the emerging field of functional medicine.
Dr Bonke is committed to sharing his expertise in integrative healthcare to help his patients build healthier lifestyles, with a solid foundation of good nutrition, along with lifestyle changes and adequate rest. He believes in focusing on the root cause, rather than just treating the symptoms of the disease, as conventional medicine often does. Felix continues to expand and develop his knowledge on optimising all aspects of health and performance.
Sean Russell MBE
Mental Health in the Workplace Advisor | MBE MBA FRSA
Sean Russell is an experienced senior leader with thirty-six years of service supporting West Midlands communities. He is a retired senior police officer. More recently he led the Mental Health and Productivity Pilot, an academic research initiative, across the Midlands region.
The programme team supported over 1150 organisations to test new ways of implementing organisational work-place wellbeing initiatives, developing a primary focus on keeping employees well in the workplace, creating positive cultures and jobs that are psychologically safe.
Sean is an Honorary Associate Professor at Warwick University.
How It Started
Everyone faces stress and anxiety at some point, and Ali is no exception. She’s navigated the depths of workplace burnout and chronic stress, so she truly understands what you’re going through.
Then, an accident changed everything. It left her with Post Concussive Syndrome and exacerbated a debilitating autoimmune issue. Rather than let these challenges defeat her, Ali chose to embark on a personal healing journey to resolve the health issues that came with it.
Throughout this journey, she faced the inevitable anxiety and emotional lows that come with a chronic health condition. With her brain stuck in a constant primal state of fight or flight, she sought solutions. Drawing on her many years experience, Ali turned to limbic retraining, functional neurology, and incorporated targeted nutrition and lifestyle changes.
From this experience, the Back to Happy Program was born. It’s a comprehensive collection of the therapeutic tools and techniques that Ali used to heal her gut, her brain, as well as reset and regulate her nervous system to optimal health.
